The 11th international conference of the European Federation for coloRectal cancer
Wiedeń (General Hospital Vienna - AKH Wien Währinger Gürtel 18 - 20, 1090 Vienna, Austria)

Dear Prof. Malecka-Panas, dear Prof. Rydzewska,

I contact you on behalf of the European Federation for coloRectal Cancer (EFR) to investigate a promotional collaboration with the Polish Society of Gastroenterology.

In case you do not already know us, EFR is the main forum for colo-rectal surgeons across Europe. We are a multi-disciplinary group composed of visceral or general surgeons who do colo-rectal procedures, colo-proctologists, Oncologists, Gastroenterologists and other health staff.

We have our Bi-Annual Congress on 24-27 April at the Vienna University Hospital, held in cooperation with ECTA – Eurasian Colorectal Technologies Association. With ECTA’s presence, we expand the programme to cover precancerous lesions and inflammatory bowel disease. Welcoming us to Vienna will be the Congress and Society President, the eminent colo-rectal surgeon Prof. Belá Teleky.

Our proposal would be the following:

  • In the initial stages, you offer to your members to attend the EFR Bi-Annual Congress in Vienna at a specially discounted price. The package at 380 euros covers:
    • Full registration ticket for all lectures and activities
    • 3 nights mid-range hotel in Vienna
    • Attendance of networking events in a Museum and Heuriger, both of significant cultural heritage of Vienna
    • Access to the congress materials (speaker slides, abstracts, etc.)
    • A voucher to use the Navus platform (www.navus.io) free for any member’s educational event or in their hospital.
  • Then later, we could investigate a 2-way promotion on our website and yours, to drive membership sign-ups both ways.

A key objective for both of our societies is to increase membership and delegates for the annual meeting. We hope and believe that collaborations such as these will enable us both to offer better services and networking to our members and boost our membership numbers.

If you agree, I would propose a phone call over the coming week or so to talk further.

Very many thanks for your reply.

Kind regards,

John
